Revlon Colorburst Chubby Sticks

So a few weeks ago I bought the new Revlon (now new-ish) Colorburst chubby sticks both from the new range of Colourburst Matte and Lacquer Balms. Both the Matte and Lacquer ranges are available in 10 different shades. I bought two of each.

Of the Lacquer Balms range I purchased no120 and no105. The lacquer range are glossy and shiny. I'll admit over the past few months I've been team matte however, lately I've been trying out non-matte lip products a little more and loving it! I'm still deeply and madly in love with matte lip products, despite this though, from time to time we all need to mix it up a little right?

The beautiful high shine lacquer chubby sticks are enriched with the matte range' same formula, enabling it to nourish and smoothly apply onto your lips! It's shiny without the look of a shimmer/glitter lip which I LOVE as I loathe the glitter look. (the picture above isn't doing it half the justice though! so apologies for that) It's pigmentation is great and you only need one or two coats, however I will add that for no105 I personally need about 3-4 layers, my lips are naturally quite dark though which doesn't help when I apply such lighter shades. They are long lasting, around 5-6 hours before you need to re-apply. As it is non-matte it isn't dryingat all instead feeling moisturising and nourishing.

Next up are the matte shades! I purchased two of these also. The matte range is HIGHLY pigmented and for most you will just need one layer, max two! They are also long lasting, you won't really need to re-apply till about 5-6 hours later. When first applied they don't feel matte at all, in my opinion, it feels like a very velvety texture. After a while they do feel a little dry on the lips and that might enable chapped lips to appear a little; but hey listen, it's not gonna always feel or look as smooth as the lacquer balms do (especially a few hours after application) however, it is not THAT bad at all. Everyone knows that matte lip products do sometimes end up a little drying and compared to some others on the market this doesn't leave your lips feel all that dry and you should certainly not glance over and pass by it without purchasing! For anyone looking to purchase some new chubby sticks I highly recommend these. Revlon have started to become known for their reputation of creating great chubby sticks that everyone, if not most, will love.

I've yet to try many other lip products this year so maybe this isn't the most accurate to say but for now, these are definitely the best lip products to have come out in recent months for me. I'm always reaching for them! And I still get super excited over them! ha! I believe they retailed around the £7.99 mark (don't quote me on it though as I did purchase it a few weeks ago, but I'm pretty sure it's around that mark)

So what are you waiting for?! Head on over to your local drugstore and purchase one or two (maybe a cheeky third? Ha) and let me now which one you love the most and if chubby sticks have become the new 'IT' lip products in your make-up collection too!
