No7 Exceptional Definition Mascara - Review

I haven't heard many people rave about no7 mascara's tbh, besides like once, years ago when I saw Zoe from Zoella speak about how great they were. As my Lancôme mascara was coming to an end *emotional times* I needed to re-purchase, however I did not find the specific Lancôme mascara that I wanted that day so decided to just buy another.

Whilst browsing endlessly in Boots (something that I do far too regularly these days! Not good, really not good) I walked past the no7 counter and saw that they had several different mascara's on display that caught my eye more than any of the others from other brands. Now I'm not gonna lie, sometimes I do just purchase products without knowing anything about it simply due to the fact that the packaging looks better than another product. Packaging of a product really does either lure me in or make me walk away and not try a product.

The no7 mascara' packaging was the most sleek looking. Non of that colourful, block writing stuff that I see Maybelline or Rimmel do; which some people don't mind however, despite the fact that I always hear great things about Maybelline mascara's I can never get myself to purchase one as I just really do not like the packaging. Now I know what you're thinking, the packaging shouldn't matter that much, it's the performance of the product that's more important considering that, that's what you're really spending your money on; which is true but, yaknow..I clearly have yet to drill that into my brain. Haha! (I'd also like to add that I did actually own a Maybelline mascara once and we just did not get along, I mean it was good but I didn't like the brush and when applying the mascara it would just go all over my eye lids immediately and feeling rather sticky, which surely no one wants! Well, I certainly don't.)

Anyway, onto the no7 mascara. I freakin love it! Now I'm not gonna lie the first time I applied it I was not sold; the mascara straight after applying actually went all over my eyelids, my lashes didn't look all that amazing and I was just left feeling so dissapointed. Somehow though, a few days later I said to myself, 'right Dunya you've purchased it now and already opened it so you might aswel try to actually use atleast some of the product!' Which is exactly what I did but, this time I managed to fall completely in love with it!

I don't know what happened, but all of a sudden I felt like I had purchased one of the best mascara's that I'd ever got my hands on! Which was ironic and rather strange considering that a few days ago I did not like it, like not even a little! I know it may seem weird how I changed my mind and even I don't get it but this time around and ever since then might I add, it has worked perfectly and become my top drugstore mascara! It lengthens my lashes, gives it great defintion and it creates a great amount of volume without it becoming clumpy. It's just perfect in my eyes. There isn't one thing that I can think of to complain about. Besides my Lancôme mascara, this is the only other mascara that can create,  full-looking natural lashes and or, big lashes with endless amount of volume for whenever you're having your fancy days yaknow..you wouldn't even need to use fake eye lashes, in my opinion anyway, because I do truly believe that, you can create that look yourself with this mascara. The brush is great! It has a triple effect brush which is what helps create such volume and definition to your lashes. It is pretty much like a three-in-one brush that can reach 'even the most hard to reach lashes' as it says on the packaging.

It retails at £11.50 which I think is not that bad especially as it actually does the job. Most importantly though, it is definitely worth the money!

I'll be posting again tomorrow for my #MovieWednesday series so make sure you look out for that one! Speak to you soon.

  1. Wow! That's a glowing review. I haven't really found the perfect mascara for me yet, so I definitely need to check this out. Hopefully it'll give me big beautiful lashes too!
