#MusicMonday

Hey guysssss, hope you've had a great start to the week, my Monday didn't start off great (missed my bus, dead lecture bla bla) it got good in the end though, some food and hanging about with friends, having a gossiping session. They're my fav!

Anyhow, this weeks song of the week goes to, Jason Derulo - Stupid Love. It's on repeat atm till I make myself sick of it because I've had it on repeat So. Damn. Much. It's just one of those instant catchy tunes that from the moment you hear it, you notice it straight away and instantly feel the need to listen to it again, well I did anyway ha!

It's not a new song however, I hadn't heard of it and I don't get how its not a bigger song than it already is (or maybe I just missed the hype when it was really popular? I dunno) for anyone who hasn't heard it or is just in need of a new song to listen to (don't you sometimes,  get really sick of the same group of songs you listen to and feel the need to try find a new one to obsess over?) this is for you! Ha!

#HappySunday

So I must admit, I have been having a few down days lately, however today I'm a bit better. I love this quote because, every new day you really do have a chance to change your life; atleast something in your life. I'm not talking about, doing something utterly crazy or whatever, it can be little things which might have a big impact on how the rest of your day goes.

For me personally, whenever I feel crap, or even if I don't, I've learned this year that I need to start the day thinking positively, otherwise I just let my mind suck in all the negative energy around me, or even the ones that I'm just creating in my head! It does actually have a huge impact on me as I now feel down a lot less than I did last year. You just have to wake up one day and actually want to change something about yourself, or your surrounds and only then will your mind be more at ease. I urge you to do so instead of spending every single day, if not most days, feeling like shit and utterly miserable, which I did pretty much 95% of last year. Don't waste a ridiculous amount of time like, a year just thinking so negatively, it'll eat you up on the inside.

So please, when you feel like a bad day is coming along, try to think, it'll get better, have faith, remember you've probably had worse days so this isn't the worse day that you've had and also try to keep yourself occupied with something; whether it is going for a jog, zoning out and listening to upbeat music, going out, whatever works for you!

Hope this helped atleast a little. Have a great start to your week tomorrow morning. Speak to you soon!

What's in my shower - Body

Hey guys, so I decided to do a 'what's in my shower' post but only the products that I use on my skin.
Today's one will be based on what I use on my body, if you're wondering, I will be doing a 'Hair Care' post soon hence why I didn't add my hair care products in this post.

The products that I'm currently using are pretty much all Soap&Glory products. So I'd just like to add a disclaimer, just incase, to say that this isn't sponsored by Soap&Glory or anything like that, I bought these products all myself.

Body Wash:
I use the Soap&Glory Foam Call bath and Shower Wash. It is really lovely, soft and moisturising not to mention that it smells great too! With peppermint essential oils, grape seed EFAs, fruitliquid fig and orange waterjuice. the scent is very fruity which contains notes of, frozen yuzu, orange oil, green fig and jungle pomelo essence. (Click HERE)

Body Scrub:
I use the Soap&Glory Smoothie Star Breakfast Scrub. This contains organic cupuacu bio scrubs, bananas, almond and honey extracts. Including a new maple fragrance. The BEST BEST BEST thing about this is the scent! OMG! I literally just want to eat it all up! (Soap&Glory must of known that some people will go a little cray over it ie me! So they have actually put a warning on the back of it, that it is not edible. Ha!) (Click HERE

Body Butter:
For body butter I apply the Soap&Glory Butter Yourself Body Cream. This stuff is amazing! It creates such a beautiful, soft and creamy (non sticky) texture on my skin. I can't get enough. This contains five fruits, super rich smoothing body cream. In addition to this, might I add that, along with the scent of the body scrub, you will literally sit there and sniff yourself! May sound a little odd to some but, unless you've been through it, you just wont understand..anyone else with me on this? (Hands up!) (Click HERE)

That is it for it today, hope you enjoyed it! Do let me know if you use any of the products above or if you plan on trying them out next. :) Oh and might I add Boots is doing 3 for 2 on all these products that I just mentioned, so if this blog post didn't do the products enough justice, than I'm sure 3 for 2 will lure you in. (They always do with me!) Speak to you soon (tomorrow in fact ha!)

#MovieWednesday

This weeks movie is The Proposal!

This movie is one of my all time favorite feel-good comedies. Starring Sandra Bullock (one of my fav actresses ever! She's just the coolest!) and Ryan Reynolds. It is a comedy, drama, romance based on a pushy boss who manages to convince well..pretty much force her assistant into marrying her as her visa is expiring, fearing that she'll be deported back to her native Canada.

I totally recommend this movie if you wanna watch something that is easy to watch and lifts your spirit. Do let me know if you love this movie also or any other movies that you enjoy, I always love getting suggests, on any genre (besides horrors, just can't watch'em. Too much of a chicken! LOL)

#MusicMonday

This week I decided to start a new series. #MusicMonday. As I am obsessed with music and always have been. I can't go a day without listening to music! I figured doing a series on my blog based on music would probably be ideal for me.

When I fall in love with a song, I can't listen to anything else but that song for about a week or two; I will literally have it on repeat for that week/2weeks till I get sick of it and hate it. (Anyone else guilty of this?) lately I've begun a little obsession with Jimmy Fallon and his talk show. On the show he has a band called The Roots. Jimmy and the Roots every now and then sing a song with a musical guest. However, they change it up by playing the song using class room instruments, or sometimes even paper (watch Jimmy Fallon and The Roots with Christina Aguilera you'll understand what I mean) atm I'm obsessed with the song 'Let It Go' from the movie frozen. I prefer Fallon's version over the original if I'm honest. Below is the clip of them performing it (warning you will get hooked!)

#HappySunday

To mark the end of the week and start of a new one, here's my little quote for you!

It's a short one but a powerful one. Whenever I fear anything, at the end of it I still remain to have hope no matter what. I believe you need hope and without it, life wouldn't make much sense to me if I'm honest. You're always thriving for something and hope to get it/get there some day.

So always remember, even if you fear it always hope for it because, it truly is the only thing stronger than fear.

#MovieWednesday

This weeks film is Non-stop starring Liam Neeson. Which pretty much every one knows from Taken (don't kill me but I actually have yet to see that film, whoever I say that too they literally get so pissed at me haha) Non-stop is a thriller, adventure, action film.

The film is an experience and a half! You will go through a roller coaster of emotions, not knowing what's going to happen next (the fact that I actually hadn't seen the full trailer probably helped, these days I believe trailers give away far too much; anyone else agree?) the film is based on Neeson's character who is an Air Marshal. He receives a series of text messages informing him that someone will die every 20 minutes unless $150 million is transferred into an off-shore account. This is all whilst being on a plane btw!

If you enjoy action and thriller type films I'm sure you'll enjoy this one, I sure did! It is aprox. 110 minutes long and I believe it came out January this year so it might still be available in cinema's. You'll have yourself suspecting everybody as, obviously we don't get to know who it is that's sending these text messages to Neeson's character, Bill.

After watching this film I'm definetly going to be watching Taken very soon as I loved Neeson's performance.

I will be posting next on Friday (it will be a beauty related post!) so look out for that one.

No7 Exceptional Definition Mascara - Review

I haven't heard many people rave about no7 mascara's tbh, besides like once, years ago when I saw Zoe from Zoella speak about how great they were. As my Lancôme mascara was coming to an end *emotional times* I needed to re-purchase, however I did not find the specific Lancôme mascara that I wanted that day so decided to just buy another.

Whilst browsing endlessly in Boots (something that I do far too regularly these days! Not good, really not good) I walked past the no7 counter and saw that they had several different mascara's on display that caught my eye more than any of the others from other brands. Now I'm not gonna lie, sometimes I do just purchase products without knowing anything about it simply due to the fact that the packaging looks better than another product. Packaging of a product really does either lure me in or make me walk away and not try a product.

The no7 mascara' packaging was the most sleek looking. Non of that colourful, block writing stuff that I see Maybelline or Rimmel do; which some people don't mind however, despite the fact that I always hear great things about Maybelline mascara's I can never get myself to purchase one as I just really do not like the packaging. Now I know what you're thinking, the packaging shouldn't matter that much, it's the performance of the product that's more important considering that, that's what you're really spending your money on; which is true but, yaknow..I clearly have yet to drill that into my brain. Haha! (I'd also like to add that I did actually own a Maybelline mascara once and we just did not get along, I mean it was good but I didn't like the brush and when applying the mascara it would just go all over my eye lids immediately and feeling rather sticky, which surely no one wants! Well, I certainly don't.)

Anyway, onto the no7 mascara. I freakin love it! Now I'm not gonna lie the first time I applied it I was not sold; the mascara straight after applying actually went all over my eyelids, my lashes didn't look all that amazing and I was just left feeling so dissapointed. Somehow though, a few days later I said to myself, 'right Dunya you've purchased it now and already opened it so you might aswel try to actually use atleast some of the product!' Which is exactly what I did but, this time I managed to fall completely in love with it!

I don't know what happened, but all of a sudden I felt like I had purchased one of the best mascara's that I'd ever got my hands on! Which was ironic and rather strange considering that a few days ago I did not like it, like not even a little! I know it may seem weird how I changed my mind and even I don't get it but this time around and ever since then might I add, it has worked perfectly and become my top drugstore mascara! It lengthens my lashes, gives it great defintion and it creates a great amount of volume without it becoming clumpy. It's just perfect in my eyes. There isn't one thing that I can think of to complain about. Besides my Lancôme mascara, this is the only other mascara that can create,  full-looking natural lashes and or, big lashes with endless amount of volume for whenever you're having your fancy days yaknow..you wouldn't even need to use fake eye lashes, in my opinion anyway, because I do truly believe that, you can create that look yourself with this mascara. The brush is great! It has a triple effect brush which is what helps create such volume and definition to your lashes. It is pretty much like a three-in-one brush that can reach 'even the most hard to reach lashes' as it says on the packaging.

It retails at £11.50 which I think is not that bad especially as it actually does the job. Most importantly though, it is definitely worth the money!

I'll be posting again tomorrow for my #MovieWednesday series so make sure you look out for that one! Speak to you soon.

#HappySunday

This week is a motivational quote! As we are ending the week and starting afresh I thought, well I sure as hell could do with some motivation and maybe someone else needs that too. So here's to us! I've been really stressed lately (deadlines are far too close, and I mean like within a few days close!) Despite the fact that I'm starting to get panicky again, I'm not gonna lie, I haven't done much to calm myself down ie actually get on with it and do some work! It's just a bad habit of mine that I hate, yet I never seem to get rid of. I suppose it is my own fault though, I say I'll do something about it but I never actually do.

So to attempt to make myself and hopefully one of you a little bit better and feeling more positive. I'll leave you with this quote:

'With the new day comes new strength and new thoughts.'

Removing make-up/Cleansing

Hey guys! As most of us girls (and some guys) wear make-up at the end up of the day we obviously remove it, to keep our skin as clean as possible (not gonna lie I've fallen asleep with make-up before and my skin is probably not in the best condition because of this!) a lot of make-up has chemicals and all that science stuff in it that your skin isn't particularly fond of, which is why you need a good make-up remover and cleanser. One of the down sided to make up is getting acne, or black heads (which I've got and hate!)

I use the Bioderma sensibio H2O. It is fragrance free, cleanser, removes make-up and soothes skin. Which is pretty much what it does. Haha! I'm pretty sure many of you, if not all of you have already heard about this popular French product. This is basically what I use to remove make-up at the end of the day, and it does a pretty good job! It doesn't irritate my skin at all, or around the eyes which I love! Cuz who wants a product that irritates the skin? Not me! I also use this in the morning and night time, even if I havent put make up on that day, as it's a great cleanser to use.

However, on days where I'm feeling lazy and just can't be bothered I use make-up wipes. I don't use them anymore now that I use a cleanser however, occasionally I do and the one that I reach for is the Simple - exfoliating facial wipes.

Simple has different types of facial wipes for various skin types. I just got the exfoliating facial wipes; there is 25 in a pack, I don't remember how much it was now but I don't think it was too bad. The wipes are double-sided and as the packet says, it has cleansing and exfoliating actions, it does genuinely feel that way. It removes make-up pretty well and it just feels like a good non-harsh scrub to me when I use it. It doesn't leave my skin feeling oily or greasy, just clean. Now obviously my Bioderma cleanser removes make-up better (otherwise I would just be using this instead, if it didn't) however, compared to other facial wipes that I've used the Simple wipes are pretty good! Although I would like to add that neither remove mascara very well. I've yet to find a product that does that.

That is it for today, be sure to follow my blog to see when I've put up a new blog post (which will be tomorrow so look out for that!)

#MovieWednesday

This weeks movie is The Perfect Man.

This may not be the most critically acclaimed film of all time however, it is a great rom-com film. I absolutely love this film! Seen it bout a 100 times probably not gonna lie haha. It's just a great feel-good, happy film that's not too complicated. The film stars, Hilary Duff, Heather Locklear, Aria Wallace etc.

The film is based on Hilary Duff's charter Holly, who's tired of moving continues oh whenever her mother breaks up with a boyfriend. She then comes up with a plan to create the perfect man for her mum. It's just bloody great, watch the trailer and watch the film. I totally recommend if you're looking for a great rom-com family film. And even if you have seen it, just watch it again. Haha! I know I definitely will.

That's it for today, my next blog post will be on Friday so look out for that!

DITL: Tower of London

Day in the life blog for you today!

Hey guys! As part of one of my modules at university, I have to participate in a group presentation, as I study history, I obviously always study about historical events/individuals/locations etc. me and my group have a presentation based on the Tower of London. We thought it'd be a great idea if we actually went there so that it could help us with our notes for our presentation. I ended up actually have a great day. I had never been and it was better than I had expected. Unfortunately, I stupidly did not take a camera with me. However, I decided that I would just have to do with taking pictures on my phone instead. I thought it'd be nice for people who enjoy blogs containing more images rather than writing and for people who enjoy seeing different parts of the world or people who just enjoy day in the life blogs. Haha!

Hope you enjoyed this blog. Do let me know if you enjoy DITL blog posts and I'll do them more regularly. Make sure you come back tomorrow for my new #moviewednesday post!

#firstworldproblems

So this series #firstworldproblems I actually previously used to post on my second blog, however I've decided that I find it better and easier to just have it all on one blog. So I'm going to start posting my weekly #firstworldproblems blogs on here from now on. And I tend to post on Monday's. (Also may I add with this series it's just something fun for me to do and don't ever take what I say seriously haha, cuz I'm really not much of a serious person. At all)

So this weeks #firstworldproblems is on sleeping. Bloody hell I'm really crap at sleeping. It might sound strange as most people are like 'oh I could sleep for days bla bla' well nope, not me! Last week I fell asleep in the evening without even noticing haha! I mean at some point I wasn't even sure if I've slept at all (yaknow when you feel like you've just been laying there in your bed instead of actually sleeping, yeah that)

And then the next night, thinking I'm gonna be so sleepy and fall asleep really early, well...nope. Fell asleep around midnight and then woke up around 4am. I mean..can we just like..*weaps* can I get some sympathy please. I just can't sleep! It's so frustrating, it's an emotional time guys. I mean for all you people out there who could sleep for the whole day, I envy you! I could never do that.

Some people tell me to get checked out or something lool or possibly try sleepin pills but, sleeping pills are just not something I wanna get into and then have to rely on them. Oh plus I can't swallow pills (sighhhh I have so many #firstworldproblems) I don't know but I can't swallow pills I have to crush them in water and then drink it (yes I'm a loser I know, don't judge me ok) haha

Anyway, speak to you guys soooooon!

February Favourites II

Hey guys so today I'm posting part 2 of my Feb Favs. These are more non-beauty related. Enjoy! :)

My first favourites are my real techniques brushes. (From top too bottom: buffing brush, contour brush, stippling brush) I freakin love these brushes! Real technique brushes are really great, I purchased the stippling brush (link for purchase) on it's own  however the buffing and contour brush are part of a set (link here if you wish to look into it more)

Up next is my soap&glory body cream! This stuff leaves your skin feeling so smooth, soft and hydrated, it's my favourite atm! And it smells great too. (link here if you wish to purchase)

So if you didn't know, I have a problem of going into boots far too many times, far too regularly. (Boots is a drugstore in the UK) and always find myself leaving with Atleadt 1 or 2 products. Especially if they have a deal on! Like 3 for 2 deals for example, they just suck you in with that stuff; anyway, I stumbled across the hair care isle and the Tony&Guy section. I have never actually purchased anything from Tony&Guy before so thought why not just give it a go. And I am soooo glad that I did, I have so many of their hair products now and love them all (I will do a blog post on that soon!) this particular product is the Tony&Guy Prep - smoothing detangler. You spray this into sections of your hair before drying and it truly does help detangle your hair. I don't want to talk about my hair too much on this blog as I'm leaving it for a later blog so for now all you need to know is that, I love this product and so should you! (link for purchase)

Next up, is Jelly Beans. I know some people don't like them (what is wrong wth you?!) but I love them! This month I have been repurchasing packs of jelly beans alreast once a week. I think I love them more because, I believe that you not only get sweets but a game out of it too; which me and my friend like to play in our lectures at uni (oops, should really be listening to the lecturer instead, let's just ignore that) at the back of jelly bean packages it will show you what flavour each jelly bean is, you eat one then try and see if you got it right. It might sound a bit lame to you, but it really freakin excites my life. (Yup, that's how exciting my life has been lately..jelly beans game!)

The tv show that I have been loving this month is Revenge. I catched up on the whole of season 3 (we are on s3 right? Haha) that's aired so far and can't wait for it too come back. Omgggg! I just remembered it starts airing again this month, tonight I think! Aaaahhh yessss! (I watch it online at the same time as when it airs on us tv as I just can't wait several months till it comes to the uk)

I've also been enjoying reading lately, which was one of my New Years resolutions. Atm I'm reading the Great Gatsby, I'm in chapter 4, liking it so far.

I think that's pretty much it for this month, from what I can think of. Hope you had a great Feb and let's hope March will be great. Oh and yaaaay winter is officially over..although I live in England so it's really never over for me. Haha!

I will be posting again tomorrow (it's a new series that I'm starting on this blog so look out for that!)

February Favourites I

My first monthly favourites!

Hellooo everybody! Hope you had a great week (didn't it fly by?!) and a great February (didn't the month fly by too?!) today I am doing a monthly favourite blog post, for the very first time! Hopefully you'll enjoy it, I know I always like to know about what beauty and non-beauty products people have been loving every month. I will post the second part of my monthly favourites tomorrow as I didn't want this post to be too long.

My first beautyu favourite of the month has to be my urban decay naked 3 palette. I've loved experimenting a little with this palette and the brush, (the brush is great btw!) I did a review on the palette here, check it if you haven't read it yet! :)

My second beauty favourite of the month has to be my NARS Casino bronzer! I freakin love this product! It is great for contouring, long lasting and does truly help slim down my face (which I do really need haha!) I also done a review on this here. Sometimes I would apply this instead of my blusher if I wanted a more bronzed look that day, however I noticed that I stared to break out on my cheeks and now that I've stopped using this instead of my blusher my breakouts have calmed down so I'm assuming that it was this product that caused the breakouts. However where I apply it for contouring I dont break out as much so I do and still will continue to use this. :)

This next product is the "new gal" brightening face primer. A little while ago I bought the benefit the porefessional and I received this primer and the benefit eye cream (which I didn't like) it cost me the same price as purchasing 'the porefessional' by itself so I thought why not, this way I get to test out 2 more products! The primer came in a small sample size and I have used it a few times and absolutely loved it! People would compliment me on how glowing my face was that day. I will probably purchase a full size in the near future.

This month I have also been loving my more natural, lighter shaded lipsticks. This one is the Rimmel London Kate Moss matte lipstick - 101. It is the perfect shade of pink, if you're looking for one that looks quite natural and minimalistic.

The next product is my L'oreal studio secrets lipstick - 662 brown. I love this! Again I love using this for days when I am going for a more natural looking make-up look. However, I do also love applying this when I am going for a more dramatic look, particularly on this eyes and I prefer my lips to be a more natural and subtle colour. This product is also very moisturising, which is why I love it even more!

My other lip product that I've been loving is my Rimmel London apocalips lip lacquer - 500 Luna. Again as I said before I really have been enjoying my lighter more subtle looking lip products this month haha! This is a great product, it is long lasting, great pigmentation, and the brush makes it easier to apply.

As my previous mascara had run out, I needed to purchase another. I hardly hear about no7 mascara's however, after owning this particular one I think that they should be raved about a lot more! This is the no7 Exceptional Defintion, nutrient enriched mascara with a triple effect brush, in black. I freakin love this mascara! (And Bronwyn if you're reading this, this was the one that I was going on about like a week ago or whenever it was lol!) I won't speak about it too much as hopefully I will do a full blogpost on it very soon.

Hope you enjoyed reading about my February beauty favourites. And as I said at the beginning of this blog, my non-beauty February favourites will be up tomorrow!
Speak to you soon
